Walter will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him… He was a loving and devoted husband, stepdad, brother and friend. Walter always gave life his best, never holding back, especially when it came to embracing a new friendship. Walter was truly a treasure and we are all so very blessed to have had him in our lives.Ī summer gathering is planned for Augin honor of Walter and his extraordinary life. We will miss his laugh, zest for life, his unique perspective on everything and his willingness to help anyone at any time. He loved: anything Abraham Lincoln, Antiques Roadshow, non-fiction books, chuckles and multi-colored swedish fish (though red would do), dinner out with the boys and Racine Kringle (thank you Bob). Walter was an outstanding pie maker, winning a Wisconsin State Fair blue ribbon for his lemon meringue pie. A road trip with Walter was always an experience! He enjoyed yearly motorcycle camping trips with Nancy and spending time on Sanibel Island. Walter owned Fleet Sign Systems for 37 years and did everything from sales to installation. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends.
